Clear what doesn’t belong to you, and root into what does.
Have you ever woken up already feeling heavy… before the day even began? Or walked into a room and felt your mood shift instantly?
That’s energy. We are always moving through an ocean of it — our own, and everyone else’s. Without realizing it, we can pick up emotions, thoughts, and vibrations that aren’t even ours. And if we don’t clear them, they linger, making us feel drained, anxious, or disconnected from ourselves.
That’s where energy clearing and grounding rituals come in.
These practices help you release what doesn’t belong to you and reconnect to what does. They’re like an energetic shower — washing away what isn’t serving you and anchoring you back into your own strength, peace, and truth.
Step 1: Clear What Isn’t Yours
Energy clearing is about releasing stagnant or heavy vibrations from your body, mind, and space.
Here are a few simple ways to do it:
Smoke or Scent Clearing
-
Use sage, palo santo, incense, or herbs like rosemary or lavender.
-
Light your chosen tool and allow the smoke or scent to move around your body and your space.
-
As you do this, set the intention:
“I release all energy that does not serve my highest good. I am cleansed, I am free, I am light.”
Sound Clearing
-
Use a singing bowl, tuning fork, bell, or even clap your hands.
-
Sound vibrates energy loose, breaking up stagnant or dense energy.
-
Allow the sound to flow around your body and into the corners of your space.
Visualization
-
Close your eyes and imagine a golden waterfall of light flowing down over you.
-
See it washing away tension, fear, or anything that doesn’t belong to you.
-
Watch it all drain into the earth to be transmuted into something new.
Step 2: Ground Into What Is Yours
Clearing is only half of the work. Once you’ve released what’s not yours, you want to root into your own energy so you feel stable and present.
Here’s how to ground effectively:
Barefoot on the Earth
-
Stand or walk barefoot on grass, soil, or sand.
-
Feel your feet connect with the earth, and breathe deeply.
-
Imagine roots growing from the soles of your feet deep into the ground.
Body Connection
-
Place one hand on your heart and one on your belly.
-
Breathe slowly, feeling the rise and fall of your breath.
-
Remind yourself: “This is my body. This is my energy. I am home.”
Weighted Presence
-
Sit or stand tall, and imagine a warm, heavy blanket of energy wrapping around you.
-
Feel it anchoring you into the present moment, secure and unshakable.
✨ Daily Practice Tip
You don’t need to spend an hour doing this — 5 to 10 minutes is enough to shift your energy completely.
Here’s a simple daily ritual:
-
Clear with smoke, sound, or visualization.
-
Ground by standing barefoot on the earth or imagining your roots.
-
Seal your energy by saying: “I am centered, I am protected, I am in my own power.”
Why It Matters
When your energy is clear and grounded, you can:
-
Think more clearly and make better decisions
-
Avoid being drained by other people’s moods or chaos
-
Feel more at peace and present in your body
-
Move through the day from your own truth, not borrowed emotions
Your energy is precious. You don’t need to carry what isn’t yours — and you don’t need to feel unanchored in your own life. Clearing and grounding is one of the simplest yet most profound ways to protect and nurture yourself.
Try this: Tomorrow morning, take a few minutes to clear and ground before you do anything else. Notice how different the rest of your day feels.
And if you want to go deeper into creating spiritual rituals that align you with your highest self, this is the exact kind of work I do in my spiritual life coaching sessions. You deserve to feel light, rooted, and free. ✨
